Authorities ID Victims Of Fatal Northeast Minneapolis Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Authorities have identified the two people who died after the vehicle they were riding in hit a tree in northeast Minneapolis.

Police say the front-seat passenger, 26-year-old Shannasey M. O'Rourke, and the driver, 30-year-old driver Paul S. Buchanan, died in the early Saturday crash. According to the Hennepin County medical examiner's office, O'Rourke was pronounced dead at the scene, while Buchanan died about an hour later at a hospital.

Police say three passengers riding in the back seat of the vehicle were taken to the hospital with injuries that aren't life-threatening.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

Both of the victims were from Minneapolis.
