Cops: Man, 23, Arrested For Monday Morning Mpls. Shooting

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Minneapolis say a 23-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a Monday morning dispute on the city's north side that led to fatal gunfire.

The Minneapolis Police Department announced Tuesday that Nigeria Lee Harvey was booked into the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center on probable cause murder in the death of Omarr Deon Johnson.

Officials say Johnson, 23, was found dead in the area of 34th and Morgan avenues following a gunfight between two cars full of people.

The county medical examiner's office said Johnson died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Another victim injured in the fight was taken to North Memorial Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.

Harvey is being held in jail without bail.

The shooting remains under investigation.
