Authorities ID Man Killed In Minneapolis Rail Yard Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities have identified a man who died Monday in an accident while unloading track material at a facility in northeast Minneapolis.

A spokesperson for Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway said the employee was unloading the material when a train on another track struck the material, which then fell on the employee. The company identified the employee Tuesday as 29-year-old Tyrell Anderson.

BNSF Railway officials said Anderson was a trackman on a traveling construction gang from Nebraska. He had more than eight years of service with BNSF and is survived by his parents and a son.
