Authorities ID 2 Killed In Orono Head-On Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Authorities say a 25-year-old woman and a 69-year-old man, both from the west Twin Cities metro, died in a head-on crash on Friday in Orono.

Orono police were called to the crash just before 7 a.m. Friday on Highway 12 west of County Road 6. When officers arrived, one driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Another driver was airlifted from the scene, but was later pronounced dead.

The victims were identified Monday as Chelsea Ann Langhans of Maple Plain and Arthur Henningsen of Wayzata. The Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office ruled Langhans died of blunt force craniocerebral injuries sustained in the crash. Henningsen died of multiple blunt force injuries suffered in the crash.

Details surrounding the accident are limited, and what led up to the crash is under investigation by the Orono Police Department with assistance from the Hennepin County Sheriff's Office.
