Authorities Execute Search Warrant In Case Of Missing Man

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities executed a search warrant in Hutchinson this week in the hopes of obtaining more information in the disappearance of a missing Wright County man.

Christopher Rossing was last seen alive in the early-morning hours of Aug. 23 as he was leaving Trouble's Bar and Restaurant in Howard Lake. He had been out for a night of drinking and left with Robert Nuttall when there had been an argument between Nuttall and his girlfriend, Gwen Butcher.

The two men were last seen walking along Highway 12 and interacting with an SUV. Nuttall has since been charged with kidnapping in connection with Rossing's disappearance. According to Wright County investigators, a fight broke out between Nuttall and Rossing as they were walking home along Highway 12.

Nuttall's girlfriend, Butcher, pulled up alongside the two driving a Ford Expedition. It appears Nuttall placed the injured Rossing in the backseat. Armed with a search warrant, the vehicle was impounded and investigators discovered Rossing's blood on the seat.

Nuttall told investigators that after dropping Butcher off at a home they shared in rural Hutchinson, he drove an injured Rossing back to Howard Lake.

The Wright County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant Monday at a Hutchinson residence on the 22000 block of 150th Street in connection with Rossing's disappearance. Officers were at the residence until Thursday. Authorities said evidence from the property was taken to state and local labs to be analyzed, but no other information was made available.

The case remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call the Wright County Sheriff's Office at (763) 682-7637.
