9 Kids Hurt After ATV Driven By 11-Year-Old Overturns

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An all-terrain vehicle being driven by an 11-year-old overturned, sending all nine children ages 6 to 11 to be hospitalized Tuesday evening.

According to the Becker County Sheriff's Office, the incident happened along 560th Avenue in Runeberg Township at about 8:30 p.m.

Authorities say that the Polaris Ranger was being driven by an 11-year-old and had eight other children aboard.

The ATV overturned after the driver swerved to avoid hitting a dog.

All nine children were taken to various hospitals. According to reports, none of their injuries were described as life threatening.
