One lane of I-94 open in Rogers after deadly crash

ROGERS, Minn. -- Authorities say seven vehicles were involved in a crash on Interstate 94 in the north metro Monday that left one man dead and another gravely injured.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the crash happened on westbound I-94 near Highway 101 in Rogers. The patrol said traffic was stopped in the right lane, and one collision caused a chain reaction.

Miguel Angel Deheza Perez, 42, was one of the drivers involved. The patrol said he died at the scene, and his 19-year-old passenger was taken to North Memorial Health Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No one in any of the six other vehicles was injured, the patrol said.
