Arrest Made In North Minneapolis Homicide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis Police Department said Sunday an arrest has been made after a man was shot to death Thursday on the city's north side.

Officers were called at about 11:15 p.m. to the 3500 block of Knox Avenue North on a report of the sounds of muffed gunshots. When officers arrived, a person flagged them down to check on someone inside a residence who had been hurt.

Officers went inside a residence and found a man who had been shot to death.

Police say Saturday night, 39-year-old Marcell Scott was arrested and booked into the Hennepin County Jail on probable cause murder. Scott has not been formally charged and the case is under investigation.
