Arrest Made In St. Paul Suspicious Death

ST. PAUL, Minn. (WCCO) – Police said Monday an arrest has been made in connection with a suspicious death of a woman on the east side of St. Paul Saturday night.

Authorities were called to a wooded area near the 1400 block of Minnehaha Avenue at about 9 p.m. Saturday on a report of a body found. When officers arrived, they found 39-year-old Rahel Nigusse wrapped in a blanket.

Police said Monday they've arrested a person of interest in connection with Nigusse's death. That person has been identified as 64-year-old John Stanton of St. Paul.

The incident is under investigation.
