Arrest Made In St. Cloud Super America Robbery

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – St. Cloud police have arrested a suspect in connection with a gas station robbery that left a clerk with minor injuries.

According to the St. Cloud Police Department, authorities arrested 33-year-old Ricky Latwan Hughes Jr. early Saturday morning.

The robbery occurred at the Super America station on the 700 block of 33rd Avenue North around 8 p.m. Wednesday. A suspect confronted the clerk with a knife and demanded money before striking the clerk in the head during a struggle.

The suspect was described as a black male in his mid-20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 9 inches tall with a slender build and a thin mustache.

Hughes is being held at the Stearns County Jail on a robbery charge.
