Gas Station Employee Injured During Armed Robbery In St. Cloud

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An employee of a St. Cloud gas station was injured in an armed robbery Thursday evening.

According to the St. Cloud police department, just after 8 p.m. officers responded to call of a robbery at a SuperAmerica, located on the 1500 block of Northway Drive.

Upon arrival, officers learned two masked suspects entered the store and confronted two clerks. One of the suspects had a handgun.

During the incident, one of the clerks was injured when one of the suspects hit him in the head.

There was one other customer inside the store. No one else was injured.

The two suspects left the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to the St. Cloud Police Department, a perimeter was set up but officers were unable to locate the suspects. It is unclear by what means they left the area.

The suspects were described as wearing ski-type masks, dark hooded jackets or sweatshirts and dark pants.

Police said one suspect was described as being roughly 6'5" with a thin build and  believed to be in his 20s. The other was thought to be older, roughly 6'1" and a bit heavier than the first suspect.
