Arden Hills City Council Member Seriously Injured In Crash

ARDEN HILLS, Minn. (WCCO) -- A member of the Arden Hills City Council was seriously injured in a crash in Blue Earth County Sunday night.

Authorities say Councilman Robert L. Woodburn, 85, is in the ICU at the Mayo Clinic after an accident in Eagle Lake.

An accident report from the Minnesota State Patrol says Woodburn was in the center median of Highway 14, going north onto Highway 60 while another vehicle was heading west on Highway 14. They collided at the intersection.

Police say the Eagle Lake Fire Department, Gold Cross Ambulance and Mayo Clinic Helicopter assisted at the scene of the crash.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered no apparent injury, according to the State Patrol.

Woodburn's term with the city council is set to expire in December of 2018.
