Arc Value Village Seeks Volunteers For 'Sort-A-Thon'

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Have a couple of hours to spare this week?

That's all it takes to help change the lives of others in need here in the Twin Cities.

Arc's Value Village and the United Way's "Sort-A-Thon" is Wednesday and Thursday at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

They are looking for volunteers to come in and help sort through trucks filled with items that are either to be recycled or reused.

Once the items are sorted, they go to Arc Value Village, which helps support families with disabilities or who have fallen on hard times.

Kate Mortenson with Arc Value Village joined WCCO This Morning to talk more about "Sort-A-Thon."
