Apple Valley Man Pleads Guilty To Stealing More Than $100K From Athletic Association

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 63-year-old Apple Valley man has pleaded guilty to five felony charges of theft in connection to the loss of $113,532 from the Rosemount Area Athletic Association (RAAA), the Dakota County Attorney's office announced Friday.

Authorities say Robert Steven Reischauer wrote checks to himself while working as the financial manager for the RAAA. He would then delete the transactions from the accounting records he presented to the RAAA board.

"I am pleased the defendant has accepted responsibility for his actions which resulted in significant financial loss for this youth athletic organization," Dakota County Attorney James Backstrom said.

Reischauer's sentencing is set for the morning of Nov. 17, 2015 in Hastings.
