Police Capture Snake On Burnsville Street
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Burnsville police are asking for the public's help finding the owner of a constricting snake that was recently found on a street.
On Tuesday, Burnsville police tweeted a picture of an officer posing with the snake. Police say the snake was located near the intersection of McAndrews Road and Nicollet Avenue.
"It's not just dogs that we find on the loose," police said. "Anyone missing a Python?"

Later, police issued a correction: it's actually a Colombian red tail boa constrictor.
We've been informed this is actually a colombian red tail boa constrictor. Don't we have egg on our faces? I know this, regardless of what it's called I wouldn't be picking it up! pic.twitter.com/kxyIE0mHwm

Police believe the snake is a pet because it has been "acting very calm."
