Antifreeze Found In Wisconsin School's Drinking Water

HARTFORD, Wis. (AP) — More tests will be done to determine how small amounts of antifreeze and propylene made it into the drinking water at a Hartford elementary school.

The Slinger School District is providing bottled water for cooking and drinking until the end of the school year at Addison Elementary School. Students are also asked to bring water to school.

The school district consulted toxicologists who said the level of chemicals is above typical drinking water standards, but is still quite low. It's believed the antifreeze is from a broken pipe in the heating and cooling ventilation system.
