Another State Fair Daily Attendance Record Broken

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- For the second time this year, the Minnesota State Fair has broken a record for daily attendance.

According to recently released figures, 252,092 entered the gates at the fair on Saturday, which breaks the previous record for the 10th day. That also marks a significant increase from last year's 196,200 from the second Saturday.

Not only that, but according to the State Fair's figures, that also marks the new attendance record for any single day in State Fair history.

That marks the second time the daily record has been broken at the 2014 State Fair. Tuesday's 133,595 broke the Day 6 record.

The fair is well on pace to break the yearly record, as well. With two days to go, 1,467,941 have visited the fair in 2014.

Only 322,557 would need to attend the fair on Sunday and Monday to break the yearly attendance record of 1,790,497, which was achieved in 2009.
