Vehicle Flips On Hwy 169 After Police Chase

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police say an effort to stop suspected shoplifters ended with a rollover crash.

The Wright County Sheriff said the vehicle flipped over after a Wright County Deputy pursued it in relation to a shoplifting complaint.

Police originally tried to pull the vehicle over on Interstate 94 near Monticello, but the driver fled.

At one point a pit maneuver was used, causing the vehicle to crash.

Three men and a woman were inside the vehicle at the time of the incident.

They were all taken to Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids as a precaution.
