Sen. Amy Klobuchar To Speak At Ohio Democratic Women's Luncheon

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) — A U.S. senator from Minnesota is headlining the Ohio Democratic Women's Caucus luncheon in the state's capital.

Second-term Democrat Amy Klobuchar is set to speak Saturday in downtown Columbus. Her speech's title: "If you're not at the table, you're on the menu."

Voter Participation Center president Page Gardner also is lined up to speak to the group. She has been pushing to increase the number of women and other historically underrepresented groups participating in national elections.

The women's caucus is a grassroots organization that works with the Ohio Democratic Party, seeking to recruit female candidates, increase women's roles with the party, and to organize to elect Democrats at all levels across the state.
