Almost A Dozen People Displaced After Burnsville Townhome Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Nearly a dozen people are without a home after a fire damaged a duplex in Burnsville overnight.

According to officials, firefighters responded to a call of a house fire in a six-unit townhome along Walden Street Monday evening.

Upon arrival, crews confirmed that all of the residents made it out of the building safely.

Two of the units were heavily damaged, two sustained significant damage and two sustained minor damage.

The cause of the fire is unknown, but crews said winds may have contributed to the fire spreading between units.

The incident is currently under investigation.
