Alcohol Suspected After Crash Injures 2 In St. Paul

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Officials in St. Paul say a two people suffered serious injuries early Sunday morning after a suspected drunk driver slammed into their car before crashing at an intersection.

A spokesperson for St. Paul police says the crash happened around 7 a.m. near Snelling and University avenues.

A suspected drunk driver hit a car carrying four people, two of which suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver then continued down Snelling for a few blocks before crashing near the St. Anthony Avenue intersection.

The driver was arrested, but police say the individual refused to take a breath test, although they did admit to drinking.

Authorities did not name the driver.
