Police: Alcohol Detected In Eden Prairie Car Accident

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Three people were injured in a car accident in Eden Praire, Minn. early Friday morning, with one driver hospitalized for serious injuries.

John Stansberry, 29, sped through a red light on Valley View Road, striking a Transit Team bus driving south on Eden Prairie Road. The accident caused the bus to roll onto its side, according to police.

Alcohol was detected in Stansberry's system, and he was transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with serious injuries, authorities said. No one on the bus suffered serious injuries.

Stansberry will potentially be charged with Felony Fleeing Police in a Motor Vehicle, DWI and Criminal Vehicular Operation, pending blood results, according to police.
