Afton Alps Adds Beer, Wine Festival To Fall Fair

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A place that's popular in the wintertime is celebrating a different season, fall, this weekend.

Afton Alps is holding its first Afton Alps Beer and Wine Festival this weekend.

It's part of its Fall Fair.

For $15 you can sample a variety of wines and more than two dozen beers.

There's also free chair lift rides, hayrides and other family activities, including a movie shown "slope-side."

"It's going to be a beautiful weekend to see the fall colors, and to also come by, have a beer, swap your equipment and have a beer," a spokesperson said.

This weekend there's also a chance for skiers and snowboarders to do some "back to the slopes" shopping.

You'll find thousands of new and used winter sports items.
