After Deep Freeze, Minnesotans Will Get A Taste Of Spring

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – After more than a week of arctic chills, warm air will wash over Minnesota and snow will be melting by the weekend.

Meteorologist Matt Brickman says that Tuesday is when the deep freeze will start to lift. Temperatures in the early morning hours were well below zero, but as the day goes on, they'll warm to the double digits.

Clouds are also forecasted to move in later in the day, bringing a dusting of snow.

By Wednesday, the high in the Twin Cities metro is expected to be in the low 20s. By Thursday, temperatures look to hit 30.

Moving into the weekend, the warm-up will continue. By Saturday, the high should be 36 degrees, and warm enough to melt snow

A cool down and a chance of snow is in the forecast for Sunday, but temperatures look to be mild, hovering around 30.
