Warmer Sunday in Twin Cities as temps expected to rise through holidays

MINNEAPOLIS  — Minnesota and most of the country will be above average for the holidays this coming week. 

There's a small chance of snow flurries and a wintry mix in the Twin Cities from Sunday night through Monday,

Highs will be in the mid-30s from Monday through Wednesday.

After the holidays, temperatures could climb into the 40s, with rain chances threatening the fresh snowpack.

Saturday marks the winter solstice and the day with the least amount of sunlight.
