Abby Ladwig, 3, Found Alive After Missing For A Day In Western Wisconsin

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The 3-year-old western Wisconsin girl who went missing Sunday evening while following her family dog into the woods has been found alive, according to the Sawyer County Sheriff's office.

Abby Ladwig was last seen Sunday at about 6:45 p.m. southwest of Winter, Wisconsin, which is about 20 miles north of Ladysmith.

Her family tells WCCO she was found Monday evening after her dog, Peanut, was spotted running out of a wooded area. Searchers entered the woods where the dog exited, and soon found her.

Ladwig is said to be in good spirits, and is being treated for some cuts, scrapes and bruises.
