92-Year-Old Crosses Skydiving Off 'Bucket List'

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- He's probably the youngest 92-year-old you'd ever want to meet, and he jumped out of an airplane in Baldwin, Wisconsin Saturday.

Kevin Burns was recently diagnosed with Alzheimer's, and his family is helping him check items off his bucket list. They learned that one of the big items on his list was skydiving. Family members say they were surprised when he told them that.

"Even though the body gets old, the spirit stays alive," Kevin's son Daniel said. "It's something that he's wanted to do, I guess, for a long time. We just found out about it, and here we are today."

Burns was a WCCO camera operator in the 1980s. His family tells us another item on his bucket list is re-visiting the WCCO studios, so we'll see him again very soon!
