80-Year-Old Man Suffers Burns, Dies 1 Week Later

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An elderly man who was injured in a fire earlier this month died Thursday afternoon.

According to Hennepin County Medical Center, Myron Eugene Pigman, 80, died from burn injuries he sustained during a fire a week earlier.

The fire happened on May 17 in the 8300 block of 460th Avenue in Lakefield, Minn.

Officials said the manner of death is an accident.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
