6th Annual Cruise For Troops Held In Ham Lake

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – An event Saturday was not only about having fun, but also honoring military members who've lost their lives.

It's the 6th annual Cruise for Troops in Ham Lake.

Hundreds of hot rods, classic cars and motorcycles rumbled through.

The event helps support the families of service members from around the state who've lost their lives in combat.

Their names were read before a procession of vehicles left for a 60 mile trip through Anoka County.

"Hopefully, the tribute to the troops helps them out and helps make their lives better," an organizer said. "It'll never be the same, but hopefully we can have an impact on their life."

Saturday afternoon, a large silent auction was held, along with military tributes and live music
