DNR Calls For One-Deer Limit This Hunting Season

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is calling for a one-deer limit in most of the state this hunting season.

DNR managers say hunters can expect to see more deer because of milder winters and conservative hunting last season, but they say not shooting anterless deer will provide more opportunities in the future.

It will be the second year of a management approach to rebuild deer populations.

The DNR strongly advises hunters to review new deer hunting regulations, permit area designations, and boundary changes on their website. You can also find information about deer management and population goal setting here.
