5K Run Honors Isaac Kolstad's Supporters

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- An event in Mankato Saturday is meant to thank everyone for helping a family during a difficult time.

It's called "Kruisin for Kolstad," and it's a 5K run held at Sibley Park starting at 10 a.m.

Former Mankato State University football player Isaac Kolstad suffered brain damage after a fight with former Gopher Philip Nelson and another man nearly a year ago.

Kolstad's wife, Molly, says on his CaringBridge page that they couldn't have gotten this far without the community's support.
