MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – From President Barack Obama's visit to Hiroshima to the naming of America's best beach, here's a look at the top four stories from May 27, 2016.

Mpls. City Council To Vote On Sick Leave

Minneapolis City councilors will finally vote on an ordinance that would give paid sick time benefits to most workers. Right now, four out of 10 workers don't have that benefit.

The controversial proposal would apply to businesses with six or more workers, giving them 48 hours of sick pay a year.

Obama In Hiroshima

President Obama makes an historic trip to Hiroshima, Japan after attending a two-day summit of G7 leaders.

The President will deliver remarks and lay a wreath at the Peace Memorial honoring victims of the U.S. atomic bombing of the city in 1945.

President Obama is the first sitting U.S. president to ever visit Hiroshima.

Stanley Cup Finals Set

The matchup for the Stanley Cup finals is set, with the Pittsburgh Penguins beating the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals

All the goals came in the 2nd period with rookie Bryan Rust scoring the two biggest goals of his career for the Penguins. They held on to win the game 2 to 1.

Pittsburgh will face the San Jose Sharks in Game 1 for the cup on Monday.

Hawaii Beach Named Best In America

For the second year in a row Hawaii's Hanauma Bay on Oahu has been named America's best beach.

It's part of an annual top 10 list compiled by a coastal science professor at Flordia International University, known as Dr. Beach.

One of his newest and most important criteria is smoking bans on beaches.

No public beaches in Hawaii allow smoking.
