4 Things To Do: Log Rolling, Fringe Festival, Bachman's Birthday & More

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – From the lake to the stage, here is a look at four things to check out this weekend in the Twin Cities.

Happy Birthday Bachman's!

Bachman's is celebrating its130th birthday.

The first 130 customers to each of Bachman's six stores will get a free rose.

Customers at Bachman's Lyndale store will get to see a special display about the history of Bachman's, including one of the first ever delivery trucks.

"Open Streets Minneapolis"

Get ready for "Open Streets Minneapolis."

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, East Lake Street will be closed to cars between 22nd Avenue and Cedar Avenue.

Pedestrians will be allowed in for an obstacle course, yoga, zumba and live performances.

Minnesota Fringe Takes The Stage

The Minnesota Fringe Festival is in full swing.

There are 909 performances of 174 shows in 24 venues around Minneapolis!

Shows begin today at 1 p.m. and will go through 1o p.m. The Fringe Festival continues through Aug. 9.

Paddleboard races that is!

The Annual Key Log Rolling Open at Paddle For Humanity! Head out to Lake Calhoun and put your lumberjack balancing skills to the test. Proceeds from this event go towards the Minneapolis Parks Foundation.
