4 Things To Do Today From Saturday, July 16

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- We've got a gorgeous Saturday on our hands, so get out and enjoy it – with ideas that Natalie Nyhus and Mike Augustyniak shared on WCCO 4 News Saturday Morning!

1. We've got a need for speed. The Street Machine Nationals is at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds Saturday, featuring about 7,000 muscle cars! Enthusiasts will have their cars on display, and will also compete in racing events. Tickets are $15.

2. There is another great lineup of musical acts Saturday night in Prior Lake at the 7th annual Lakefront Music Fest. Saturday night's headliner is Martina McBride. Proceeds from the event benefit the Prior Lake Rotary Foundation and local nonprofits. It starts at 6 p.m., and tickets are $30.

3. How about a little shopping? A massive sidewalk sale is going on at the 50th and France Crazy Days in Edina. There are big discounts and great deals from vendors and restaurants. There is also live music from noon to 2 p.m.

4. And it's Extreme Race Day at Canterbury Park! A potential crowd of 18,000 will see camels, ostriches, zebras and horses take to the track. It's also Family Day, with plenty of activities for the kids, like pony rides, face painting and a petting zoo. Gates open at 11 a.m., and the racing begins at 12:45 p.m. Tickets are $9, but anyone age 17 and under gets in for free.
