4 Men In Their 70s Charged In Poker Scheme

SHAKOPEE, Minn. (AP) — Scott County authorities have charged four men in their 70s who they say made $200 in a poker cheating scheme at a racetrack.

The three Florida men and one Michigan man are charged with felony cheating while gambling at Canterbury Park last summer. Authorities arrested 75-year-old Duane Racle of Lake City, Florida, on Wednesday. They haven't found the other three men.

All four have previous convictions for cheating while gambling in other states as far back as 1984.

The charges say one of the men distracted the dealer while two others palmed cards and traded them under the table. The fourth man stood behind the card swappers to block them from a surveillance camera.

Racle is in the county jail on $50,000 bond. Online jail records didn't indicate an attorney.
