3rd Gunman Charged In Downtown Mpls. Bar Close Gunfight

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A third man has been charged with shooting at police officers after a bar close gunfight in downtown Minneapolis left six people earlier this month.

Maurice Carter, 25, and Detroit Davis-Riley, 26, both of Minneapolis, were charged with nine counts of first-degree assault for using a firearm against police officers on Sept. 15.

Now, one of the six people injured, Demarco Lavelle Gunn, 23, has been arrested and charged with second-degree assault.

Gunn was caught on surveillance camera running east along Fifth Street and firing a weapon toward Carter and Davis-Riley, according to the criminal complaint.

Gunn was unwilling to tell police how he was wounded in the exchange of fire.
