35W Reopens After Semi Crash, Fire Closes Highway

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Interstate 35W in Roseville has reopened Thursday morning.

The State Patrol closed both the northbound and southbound lanes between Highway 36 and County Road C on Wednesday after a semi-truck caught on fire.

Crews put out the fire and the northbound side of the highway reopened within a few hours of the crash.

The southbound lanes would remain closed for awhile after because fire had damaged the freeway signs.

The driver managed to escape the truck.

It was not immediately clear what caused the accident.
