3 Women Cross Item Off Bucket List After Riding Green Line

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Three women in their 90s got to cross something off their bucket list Saturday.

They were among the first riders to catch a METRO Green Line train at the Victoria Station Saturday.

They told WCCO it brought back memories of when streetcars ran along University Avenue.

"Because it's something I've dreamed about. And I can't believe, I've got to pinch myself because I'm here. I rode the buses and the street cars. My husband and I didn't know how to drive when we got married," Irene Muehlegger said.

Muehlegger and her two friends took the Green Line from the Victoria Station to downtown St. Paul, Minn. for lunch.
