3 Injured In Hibbing Apartment Fire

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Three people were injured after a fire in Hibbing Thursday afternoon.

According to fire officials, the fire broke out in an apartment building around 2:30 p.m.

The Hibbing fire department says heavy flames were coming from all levels of the building Thursday afternoon.

Part of the roof collapsed and crews eventually had to demolish the building.

Two adults and a three-year-old child were transported to the hospital with injuries.

The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

The Red Cross is helping the other residents get clothes and find somewhere to stay.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
