2-Year-Old Wisconsin Boy Dies After Being Run Over
IRON RIVER, Wis. (AP) — Authorities in northern Wisconsin say a 2-year-old boy has died after he was run over.
The Bayfield County Sheriff's Office received a 911 call about 4:40 p.m. Saturday about a child being run over by a vehicle near Iron River.
Authorities say the caller said her son had been run over in the family's driveway. The woman's husband was moving an equipment trailer when the child was run over by the trailer tires.
The sheriff's office says the boy — identified as Gavin Wade — was airlifted to a hospital in Duluth, Minnesota, where he was pronounced dead of head injuries.
An investigation continues.
