Sheriff's Office: 2 Women Run Over In Taylors Falls

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two women were hospitalized Saturday after being pinned underneath a vehicle near the Wisconsin border.

According to the Chisago County Sheriff's Office, around 2 p.m. deputies responded to a call of two women being pinned under a car on the 500 block of Bench Street in Taylors Falls. The caller reported that a person ran the two women over and they were still pinned. One victim was also reportedly submerged under water.

Upon arrival, officers found 37-year-old Kristen Joan Christensen and 53-year-old Lauren Lippman Damman, both from Minneapolis.

Lifesaving efforts and CPR were administered. Both women were airlifted to Regions Hospital with serious injuries. They are currently in critical condition.

The driver was identified as 67-year-old Bonnie Lea Rushfeldt from Dresser, Wis.

The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.
