2 women hurt in north Minneapolis shooting

Volunteers lay flags at Fort Snelling National Cemetery for Memorial Day, and more headlines

Two women were shot in north Minneapolis Sunday evening, but both are expected to survive, police said.

The women were outside on the 700 block of Penn Avenue North when they were shot just after 5 p.m., the Minneapolis Police Department said. Both were taken to Hennepin Healthcare with wounds that were not life-threatening.

Police are investigating, but no arrests have been made.
