Savage Husband, Wife Dead In Murder-Suicide

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - A husband and wife from Savage are dead in a murder-suicide.

Esther Nyambura, 39, was killed by a gunshot to the head on March 30, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner announced Tuesday. Savage police say her husband, Rodney Terrell Dobie, 41, is the only suspect.

Dobie shot himself in the head and died in a suicide.

They were found dead in their home on the 9300 block of West 125th Street.

Police came to check on Nyambura around 11:34 a.m. on March 30; her employers were concerned she hadn't shown up for work.

In March, WCCO spoke with a neighbor who said that officers were in and out of the home all day.

"It's kind of scary to have something like that," neighbor Rommel Malinis said. "I've never seen anything like this happen before."
