2 On Motorcycle Dead After Head-On Crash In Jackson County

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Two people are dead after their motorcycle crashed into a car in Jackson County Monday evening.

According to the accident report, shortly after 6:30 p.m. 67-year-old Richard L. Hedeen and 66-year-old Francois L. Hedeen, both of Davenport, Iowa, were traveling westbound on Interstate 90 when Richard lost control of the motorcycle.

The bike veered over the centerline in a construction zone and struck an eastbound Honda Odyssey, driven by 40-year-old Sharon D. Rowlet, of West Des Moines.

Richard and Francois both died as a result of the crash.

Rowlet suffered non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Jackson Sanford Hospital.

Rowlet had a 4-year-old and two 2-year-olds in her car. They were also transported to the hospital, but suffered no apparent injury.
