2 Killed In Minneapolis Fire Identified

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- The Hennepin County medical examiner has identified two people killed in a Minneapolis house fire earlier this week.

Genie Caldwell and Jeffrey Howard, both 49, died when fire broke out in a single-family home Tuesday evening. Crews quickly put out the fire in the living room and then found the victims in the bedroom.

The Minneapolis Fire Department says the fire was caused either by smoking materials that ignited couch cushions or by an electrical source.
