MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) - The identities of the two suspects killed in Friday morning's police chase-turned deadly standoff have been released.

According to the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's office, the deaths of Matthew Vincent Serbus, 36, and Dawn Marie Pfister, 34, have been ruled homicides, with multiple gunshot wounds listed as the cause of death for both.

The two were killed after a police standoff on Highway 212 in Eden Prairie near Highway 101 at Dell Road, which began as a high-speed chase in Chaska.

Witnesses say Serbus was holding Pfister hostage during the standoff, but it's not clear if Pfister was shot and killed by Serbus or by police. It is also unknown if the two were armed during the fatal confrontation.

Serbus' time of death is listed as 7:54 a.m., but a time is not listed for Pfister. Their permanent addresses were also not listed.
