2 Juveniles Suspected Of Stealing Vehicles In Meeker Co., 1 Arrested

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Meeker County Sheriff's Office says two juveniles are suspected of stealing vehicles within the county – and that one of them was arrested after a pursuit Wednesday.

According to the sheriff's office, on Aug. 24 at 11:26 p.m. a deputy attempted to stop a vehicle near the intersection of MN Highway 12 and CSAH 24. However, the driver failed to stop and fled the deputy.

The suspect vehicle crashed and two occupants fled the scene. A juvenile occupant of the vehicle was arrested without incident.

Sheriff Brian Cruze says the vehicle was determined to be stolen from a business on Highway 12.

Cruze says deputies later learned that a second vehicle was stolen from the Kingston area, and was recovered in Lino Lakes. A second juvenile suspect has not been arrested at this time.
