2 Isolated In Portage County In Suspected Measles Cases

STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) -- Health officials say two patients have been isolated in Portage County while tests are done to see if they have the measles.

The county's Health and Human Services Department says testing on the two suspected cases is being done at the Wisconsin State Laboratory of Hygiene in Madison. Health officials did not disclose the ages or genders of the patients in isolation.

The number of measles cases across the country is up to 121 so far this year. Measles causes a fever, runny nose, cough and rash all over the body. In rare cases, it can be deadly.
