2 Hit By Stray Bullets, 3 Arrested In Downtown Mpls. Shootout

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police arrested three people after an overnight shooting in downtown Minneapolis Saturday, which injured two women.

The incident happened on 2nd Avenue near 5th Street at about 2:30 a.m. when passengers from two separate cars began firing shots at each other, according to Minneapolis Police.

Two women in a third car were hit by stray bullets: 23-year-old Dyshone Brown of Maple Grove and 22-year-old Leosha Bellfield of Minneapolis. Both victims went to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Police later arrested two men and a woman near Interstate 94 and Dowling Avenue North. The suspects are 33-year-old Michael Rolack Jr., 31-year-old Tylynne Wilson and 22-year-old Loretha Peoples.

The three suspects, who are all from Minneapolis, are being held at the Hennepin County Adult Detention Center.
