2 Families Displaced After Brooklyn Park Apartment Fire

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (WCCO) -- Authorities say two families are displaced after an apartment fire in Brooklyn Park on Sunday.

Crews were called to an apartment complex on the 6300 block of Boone Avenue North Sunday afternoon after a report of a fire. When firefighters arrived, they were able to put the fire out, but not before two units in the complex suffered extensive damage.

There were no injuries reported at the scene. A total of two adults and three children were displaced by the fire and are receiving assistance from the American Red Cross.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and both units are considered a total loss.
